First Contact Entertainment is seeking a mid level IT Specialist to join the IT Department. The ideal candidate will have passion for games, learning and technology. The person in this role will support the studio with their day to day needs so in order to succeed they need to be a great communicator, organized and have a keen eye for details.

We are building genre-defining experiences for next-generation consoles and VR and the right individual will demonstrate a clear passion for working in a dynamic team on novel and frequently innovative experiences.

JOB DESCRIPTION or Job Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work onsite, with the ability to work remotely at certain times.
  • Provide technical support for day to day operations. Efficient troubleshooting abilities. Handle support calls in a timely and accurate manner. Analyze system issues and provide resolutions. Conduct IT related training to new hires, users and technical teams as needed.
  • Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc. Provide for the implementation, configuration, deployment, and support of systems, including, but not limited to client computing devices and servers.
  • Maintain problem documentations and their resolution procedures for reference procedures. Maintain confidentiality and security of company documents.
  • Install, configure and maintain software and hardware systems. Assist in development and enhancement of IT systems. Install and configure wireless networking equipment. Experience setting up and troubleshooting various technical equipment such as laptops, video conferencing systems, mobiles, servers, and network switches.
  • Recommend process improvements to ensure system reliability, scalability, security, integrity and performance. Assess potential risks and technical challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans. Report system downtime and performance issues to Manager. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously. Good organization, time management, prioritization, and having attention to detail.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills
  • Networking knowledge
  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming.


  • Experience working with the following environments: Linux(Ubuntu), Windows 10/Server 2019+, MacOSX, Active Directory, Office365, Network Storage, AWS, Aspera, Cisco Systems.
